Snowfed is the Methven and Foothills much loved and well-read community newspaper, which started in 1986, at Mt Hutt College. It is thought to be the only weekly community newspaper owned by the local college in the Southern Hemisphere!

Our paper copy circulates from Rakaia Gorge to Mayfield, along the South Branch of the Hakatere Ashburton River to the edge of Ashburton, up the western side of State Highway One to the edge of Rakaia and all of the area in between. Online, we're read and loved by readers all over the world.

Our small profit margin goes back into the education of students at Mt Hutt College.
