What is the distribution of Snowfed?

The much-loved paper copy of the Snowfed is delivered each week, free, to over 2,000 households from the Rakaia Gorge to Methven, along the Foothills to Mayfield, follows the South Branch of the Hakatere Ashburton River to the edge of Ashburton, up the west side of State Highway One to the edge of Rakaia and back along the river to the Rakaia Gorge. This includes Mt Somers, Ashburton Gorge, Staveley, Alford Forest, Highbank, Lyndhurst, Winchmore, Lauriston, Greenstreet, Rokeby, and Barrhill.

We have an extensive New Zealand-wide and international following on our website and Facebook. Are you following us? Click on the Issues tab to see the latest or previous issues, or like us on Facebook.

We love Seniors and believe it is really important for them to stay connected with their community. We post monthly to Senior Citizens who are ex-residents of the above areas who are in a rest home out of our coverage area. If you would like your loved senior family member to receive a copy, please get in touch.

Here at the Snowfed Newspaper we encourage you to get in touch with any news stories you would like to share.
We would like to hear community opinions about any topics such as farming, education, community organisations, and issues that affect you.

Sports results and club news - we happily print these and prefer them to be emailed to us as a Word or Pages document attached to an email. Attach any photos separately. Don't forget to get photo permission and include the names of the people in the photos.

We are always keen to receive editorial contributions from our community. Topics can be varied. If you have a story and want us to write it please contact us. We do not charge for editorial contributions unless they contain a lot of advertising material. Adding contact details will cost $25.

How do I advertise?

The Snowfed Newspaper has a range of advertising sizes / rates to choose from. Click here to view your options.

Step by step guide to advertising with us:

Print ready advert:
1) Email or phone to book your advert with us, you will need to know the size you would like and which date(s) / issue(s) you would like.
2) Check that your Ad has been created in the right size.
3) Check that it is saved as CMYK colour and 600dpi.
4) By Friday 12noon the week prior, email either a PDF or JPEG of your advertisement to: advertising@snowfed.co.nz

Snowfed designed advert: (Design Fees)
1) Email or phone to book your advert with us, you will need to know the size you would like and which date(s) / issue(s) you would like.
2) By Thursday 12noon, email or phone with the content and contacts you would like on your advertisement. If you have a logo and or photos please email these through in the highest resolution possible.

(Late ads may be waitlisted)

If you are unsure what size ad you may need for your advert, not to worry, we can have a look and talk you through the options.

Advertisements can be inserted weekly, fortnightly, on even or odd weeks, monthly or another cycle that works best for you.

How do I pay for my advertising?

Unless you have an account with us, all advertising needs to be paid prior to printing.

Payment: new client advertising is to be paid online by or before Friday 5pm of the week prior to publication.

Accounts can be set up for businesses who wish to advertise with us regularly.

When is the deadline for submitting an advertisement?

Print ready adverts - Friday 12 noon the week prior to the Issue selected.

Snowfed designed adverts:- content needs to be through by Thursday 12 noon the week prior to the Issue selected.
